Jay's Graf-x FAQ

First and up most, Our work is backed by a 1yr limited warranty against material defects from the time of delivery. Proper storage, cleaning and handling will protect your investment. Obviously neglect, poor care will damage your paint. If you have any questions about proper care just ask.

OUR GUARANTEE: is if there is a problem that is a fault by us we will fix at our expense, if the problem is at fault of your own we will fix at YOUR expense.

SHIPPING: Shipping and handling charges are the responsibility of the buyer and will be quoted on each order. Shipping charges vary and are determined by the size and weight of your box, value of the shipment, delivery address, and any special handling and or shipper fuel surcharges.
We use UPS as our preferred carrier. We ship Ground service unless specified buy buyer and added cost will be applied.
Make sure you pack your items carefully, keep in mind we will return ship the items back in the boxes used to ship to us.
We do insure all items.. make sure you let us know the value of the item your sending so we can insure for that value plus the new custom paint job.
We as lo suggest to save money on shipping, when ordering item new from a vendor you can choose to have them send to us direct.
Shipping and handling costs are NEVER refundable. If damage occurs to your items we will be responsible for filing claims. You MUST take photos of items damaged and the packaging. Do not get rid of packaging as well. Shipper will come to investigate then you will be allowed to return items to us for repair.
Jay's Graf-x LLC will not be responsible for packages lost during shipping.

International Orders, Please Note- Shipping amount will not include any duties, taxes,custom fee, UPS brokerage fees, ect., that may be incurred.

How do I get the items to Jay's Graf-x? Pack into boxes that have plenty of room, we suggest using packing peanuts inside box. We return ship in your packaging and plastic packing material like bubble wrap will leave unremovable marks on your fresh paint work so we recommend not using it!

Please include any design references you may have, your name and contact info. Also if shipped from UPS store make sure you include your return address.

How much does shipping cost? You can do this yourself by going to ups.com and inputting your box dimensions and estimated weight.

How long will it take to paint my items? Once items are received it will typically take 3-4 weeks. Obviously this changes depending on what's in house at the time. Sometimes sooner sometimes longer. To get a accurate turn around time, just ask us.

Do we do bodywork if needed? NO we are not a full service repair shop we specialize in custom high end artwork and that's what we like to stick to. If your items are needing repair please have it done prior to shipping.

How long until I can wax items? We typically buff items to brilliant shine and protect the paint with our sealers, so no need to wax for 3-6 weeks.

What about the area around the Gas Cap? We recommend using a vented gas cap. This will help with gas fumes to escape and not get trapped by the paint edge which can cause paint lifting.

Do we paint inside fenders? You have a choice, we can either rubber coat under fenders or spray with basecoat. We use jam clears inside the fenders if basecoat is requested.

Do we paint fiberglass or plastic? YES but we do not repair them.

How many coats of Clear do we use? Typically 3-4 coats on top of multi layer graphics then color sand and reclear 3-4 more coats so you have a flawless, super glass smooth look.

What are acceptable payment methods? We accept paypal, money order, cashiers check, and or cash. NO PERSONAL CHECKS! Money orders and cashiers checks made payable to Jason Livery

Do we accept deposits or down payments? All items must be paid in full prior to being painted. We will not start anything unless its paid in full. We do however will make an exception for motorcycles which are much more expensive, in this case we will take 50% down, then once complete we will send finished pics and if you approve then we will require final 50% prior to return shipping.

What if im unhappy? Can I get a Refund? We go up and beyond to make every job as perfect as possible! We will also try to do whatever it may take to make our customers happy (within reason). There are absolutely no refunds!
